Independence House Program Engages Community Philanthropy in Surprising and Exciting Ways

A showcase of proactive community support is highlighted in new website

Hyannis, MA, September 10, 2012 —A newly developed program of Independence House, Inc. is providing the Cape Cod community with opportunities to be a part of the philanthropic world.

Positive Action for Victim Empowerment, known as the PAVE Program engages community residents, business owners, and local organizations to become community partners with Independence House to promote and achieve positive outcomes for people impacted by domestic and sexual violence. Creative unique and innovative events held by these community partners help contribute to the success of survivors reaching their goals, return pride and accomplishment, create fun, increase business, and add social responsibility to private social activities.

Independence House, Inc. has launched a stand-alone website for PAVE with examples of how the community can get on board, and showcases community partners as Independence House PAVER’s. Their innovative, fun and creative events are detailed on the new website at www.independencehouse-pave.org.

Independence House, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization that in its 33rd year is the only comprehensive community-based resource on Cape Cod, providing free and confidential services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. The agency operates its main office in Hyannis, with three satellite locations in Falmouth, Orleans and Provincetown, encompassing their services throughout Cape Cod to adults, teens and children.
