The tale of the hunt
Will glorify the hunter.”

Courage Unleashed
Courage Unleashed is a traveling art exhibit created by and for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Through visual art, poetry, and creative expression, survivors reclaim their stories, honor their resilience, and share their truths in their own voices.
This exhibit centers healing, empowerment, and visibility—inviting our community to witness not only the impact of violence, but the strength, creativity, and courage that follow.
Calling All Survivor Artists
Independence House is currently accepting artwork submissions for Courage Unleashed.
We invite survivors of domestic and sexual violence to share pieces that reflect their experiences, healing journeys, or personal expression. Submissions may include paintings, drawings, photography, poetry, mixed media, or other wall-displayable artwork. (Due to space and safety considerations, we are unable to accept free-standing or fragile 3D pieces.)
This exhibit is not about perfection — it is about truth, resilience, and reclaiming voice.
