Domestic and sexual violence can affect all aspects of a survivor’s life and, in some cases, may disrupt current living situations. Independence House provides support and assistance with finding emergency shelter through SafeLink (the statewide domestic violence hotline accessible 24/7 by individuals or advocates seeking resources and shelter information).

Independence House offers short-term emergency lodging and support.  Our specially trained domestic and sexual violence advocates assist with individualized safety planning and support, focusing on immediate safety and other related issues.  This service is available to survivors for whom this is the safest option.
