Presented by the Independence House in partnership with the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. We know that many people do not consider themselves artists, painters, poets, etc. We also know that creating art is good for all of us! We’ll use a process, not product, focused approach and invite you to come and create with us in this non-judgmental, healing space. Our goal is to promote and enhance physical, emotional, and mental health by using creative expression. We hope to decrease symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress while increasing self-awareness and self-esteem.
Katia DaCunha is a tri-lingual counselor and advocate- Portuguese, Spanish and English speakers welcome.
All supplies are provided. This workshop is free but does require prior registration.
Deirdre ‘deer’ Sullivan:
Happily serving as a Counselor and Advocate for victims and survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault at the Independence House in the Orleans office. The natural world is my home, mentor, and inspiration. Anti-oppression work, the creative and expressive arts, mindfulness, nature connection, and play are central in my life’s work in building a healthy community with people of all ages.
Effective until further notice:
