Enough Abuse: A Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Workshop at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod

Presented by the Independence House in partnership with the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. Child Sexual Abuse is an epidemic that isn’t often spoken about. Let’s break the silence together. This workshop will focus on what adults can do to help prevent child sexual abuse. We will be sharing a powerful resource- The Enough Abuse Campaign- education and initiative working to prevent child sexual abuse in our homes, schools, youth organizations, and communities. This workshop is free but does require prior registration.

Chris has worked in the field of domestic and sexual violence for 16 years. She has been on staff at Independence House for the past 10 years and is presently the Director of Prevention, Education, and Outreach. Her belief is that we are each responsible to each other for the actions in our community and envisions a world where prevention includes raising our children to choose conflict resolution over violence when solving problems.

Beverly Costa Ciavola is the Director of the Cape Cod Neighborhood Support Coalition.  Both Beverly, on behalf of the Cape Cod Neighborhood Support Coalition, and Chris Morin, on behalf of Independence House are part of the Enough Abuse Cape Cod and the Islands Campaign Committee.

For the health, safety, and well-being of our patrons, staff, volunteers, and creatives, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod requires that guests attending indoor ticketed events or classes must wear a mask and be vaccinated or provide a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours.
