Please also join us in celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Independence House Executive Director, Lysetta Hurge-Putnam who has led Independence House with her team to offer critical response programs and services that assist all gender identities, races, sexual orientations, abilities and cultures. Lysetta has guided the agency over the past 20 years to grow and collaborate with essential partners and offer resources that help Independence House assist on average, over 9,000 Cape Codders impacted by domestic and sexual violence annually.

April	The launch of a Cape-wide, 40-site, year-long tour of the Independence House Silent Witness and Clothesline Project exhibits as we honor survivors during Sexual Assault Awareness Month April 27: Independence House Board Tea by the Sea, Beach House Chatham Bars Inn
May	May 7: Meet Jenna Quinn: Keynote and Seminar at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod in collaboration with the Cape Cod Neighborhood Support Coalition and the Cape & Islands Enough Abuse Campaign
June	June 19: An Intimate Conversation with Drea Kelly, survivor, dancer, choreographer, actress and ex-wife of singer R. Kelly, in collaboration with the NAACP, Cape Cod.
July	July 14: Hyannis Harbor Hawks and Independence House collaborate to promote White Ribbon Campaign during Pizza-Fest from 12:00-3:00 on the Hyannis Green. July 16: Killer Queen: 3rd Annual Collaborative Benefit Concert with Cape Cod Synagogue July 22-28: Visit Independence House in the community building during the Barnstable County Fair July 27: 5th Annual Lobster Roll Cruise July 31: Square Dance with Independence House at the Wellfleet Recreational Department’s Square Dance at Wellfleet Harbor. 7:00-9:30pm.
August	August 3: Independence House 2nd Annual International Festival August 18 “Team Independence House” in the Falmouth Road Race August 22: Cheer on the Independence House float in the Provincetown Carnival Parade August 26: 5th Annual Independence House Charity Open Golf Tournament

October	October 4: 19th Annual Independence House Domestic Violence Awareness Month Community Breakfast with Patrisha McLean, Survivor, Photo-Journalist and ex-wife of singer Don McLean bringing her acclaimed Finding Our Voices: Breaking the Silence of Domestic Abuse” Photo and Audio exhibit to Cape Cod.
November	November 16: The Independence House 40th Commemorative Gala
December	The 5th Annual Teddy Bear Breakfast hosted by Clancy’s restaurant for Independence House

Independence House is Cape Cod’s leading resource, counseling and advocacy center to address and prevent domestic and sexual violence. Independence House serves residents of all 15 towns on Cape Cod with four offices (Hyannis, Falmouth, Orleans, Provincetown), in all District and Probate Courthouses (Falmouth, Hyannis, Orleans), assists sexual violence victims at Cape Cod and Falmouth Hospitals, facilitates prevention curriculums and programs to nine Cape Cod High Schools, and operates a confidential 24-hour hotline and emergency shelter.
