Presented by the Independence House in partnership with the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. In the absence of comprehensive, competent sex education, porn serves as the major form of sex ed for millions of kids. And what are kids learning? That degradation, humiliation, and violence are central to relationships, intimacy, and sex. This workshop will feature the resource Culture Reframed. We will share facts about the Porn Crisis and its effects on all genders, and resources for how to talk with youth and help build their resilience and resistance to the porn culture. This workshop is created for parents, grandparents, and anyone who works with and cares about, youth (teachers, coaches, educators, clergy…). This workshop is free but does require prior registration.
