SUMMARY:Community Prevention Strategies at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod
DESCRIPTION:This is a Free event but registration is required. \n \nPlease call 508-394-7100 to be added to the list. \n \nPresented by the Independence House in partnership with the Cultural Center of Cape Cod. Does your place of work have a Code of Conduct?  Does everyone who uses your services feel safe in your building?  Do all your employees know what to do or say if someone disclosed sexual violence?  Come and learn how organizational policies can help to prevent sexual and domestic violence. We will share specific steps to take and available resources to use in reviewing your organizational policies. This workshop is free but does require prior registration.\n \nChris Morin \nChris has worked in the field of domestic and sexual violence for 16 years. She has been on staff at Independence House for the past 10 years and is presently the Director of Prevention\, Education\, and Outreach. Her belief is that we are each responsible to each other for the actions in our community and envisions a world where prevention includes raising our children to choose conflict resolution over violence when solving problems.\n \nCarolyn Lewis\nCarolyn is the Director of Adult\, Child/Teen Domestic Violence Community Based and Rape Crisis Programs. Carolyn holds both an MSW and an MPA. She is a LICSW. Her expertise is rooted in gender-based violence. Carolyn is well versed in addressing anti-racism and oppression\, and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge working directly with clients\, children and teens from diverse backgrounds\, races\, ethnicities\, sexual orientations\, gender and socio-economic status\, including clients with mental health diagnoses\, survivors of domestic and sexual violence\, adults in later life\, children and teens.\n \nEffective until further notice:\n\nFor the health\, safety\, and well-being of our patrons\, staff\, volunteers\, and creatives\, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod requires that guests attending indoor ticketed events or classes must wear a mask and be vaccinated or provide a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours.\n \nFor your convenience\, you may choose to upload your vaccination card in advance here\, or send a photo of the vaccination card or negative COVID test with your full name to vax@cultural-center.org. Please note all guests within a party will need to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test.
