SUMMARY:Self-Care Day for Caregivers and Survivors: In Collaboration with the Cultural Center of Cape Cod
DESCRIPTION:Independence House will be facilitating the Creative Expression workshop from 10:45am-12:45pm during the Cultural Center’s Self-Care Day for Caregivers and Survivors.   During this workshop we invite you to join us in a process\, not product\, focused creative experience. Our goal is to promote and enhance physical\, emotional and mental health through use of creative and expressive art. We hope to decrease symptoms of depression\, anxiety and stress while increasing self-awareness and self-esteem. This group is a non-judgmental\, healing space to be creatively brave in. We will use various prompts each month to assist participants in getting to what is calling to be expressed. We are more than the trauma/abuse/pain we have suffered. We are whole people with full and diverse life experiences. Expressing ourselves creatively can get to the beauty and power of who we truly are.
