Independence House Executive Director, Lysetta Hurge-Putnam named to Governor’s Council

lysetta01-222x300Independence House, Inc. Executive Director, Lysetta Hurge-Putnam has been appointed to the Governor’s Council to address sexual assault and domestic violence through June 2018.

“The mission of the Governor’s Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence is to advise the governor on how to help individuals, children and families of the Commonwealth live a life free of sexual assault and domestic violence. The council seeks to identify current practices that are efficient and effective in meeting the council’s mission; recommend methods for replicating and extending best practices across the commonwealth and consider methods of improving awareness and access to services for groups that may need this access.
Our executive director is honored to serve on the council for the next 2 years.
